The Best Nature Tour in the Area!

Tour Details

The natural wetlands in the region of the Palo Verde National Park is home to one of the most important concentrations of birds in the country and in Central America. Birdwatchers will be in paradise and nature lovers of any age will revel in the abundant wildlife. Regular visitors along the river are the Anhinga (Snake Bird), Roseate Spoonbill, Wood Storks, the endangered and rare Jabiru (largest bird in Central America), Blue Herons, White Ibis, and more.

The Palo Verde Crocodile Safari begins with pick up at your hotel. The scenic drive along the way will have us passing papaya , sugar cane, and melon fields. Upon arrival, you’ll board a covered, motorized river boat and cruise the Tempisque river. Along the way you’ll observe sunbathing crocodiles, diverse species of birds, huge iguanas, howler, white faced monkeys and more up close and personal. If luck is on your side, the monkeys and crocodiles will come right to the boat! After the riverboat tour, enjoy a traditional family style Costa Rican lunch with a natural fruit beverage.
